Conklin Pens

The Conklin Pen Company was established in Toledo, Ohio in 1898 and is regarded as one of the most significant and innovative manufacturers from the golden era of fountain pens. Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) endorsed the Conklin Crescent Filler in 1903 and became a spokesman for the company. The Conklin Pen Company flourished in the 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s but eventually shut down U.S. operations in 1955. In 2000 the Conklin brand was revived by an American pen enthusiast with headquarters in New Jersey. Since then the company was sold again and is now distributed by Yafa based in Canoga Park, California.
